Do I end up with an excel roster of attendees after everybody has signed for an event? I would like to end up with a mailing list.

    You end up with the list of attendees and all of their details that can be exported in .csv format to be used in a spreadsheet. You can easily use the emails from that for a mailing list. There's currently no direct integration with any external mailing applications.
