Select multiple ticket types
Hi,
I want my delegates to be able to select more than one ticket type.
Is this possible with bookwhen?
Thanks

Hi James. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
The system is designed to only allow one ticket per delegate per event. The email address is the unique information about a person that is used to enforce this.
In theory, a delegate could add themselves to a booking multiple times with different ticket types as the email is an optional field when adding additional attendees, however that's not recommended and they would have to re-enter their details for each ticket.
I am intrigued as to how you wanted to use tickets. Is it that you want one person to be able to book for others without entering their details, or is it that one person can actually have multiple tickets for the one event (e.g. for side events)?

We have a 3 day conference with a gala dinner at the end that needs to
paid for separately. We want to give people the option to attend
specific days of the conference and the dinner.
So for example:
Delegate 1 - Day 1 and 2 of conference + gala dinner.
Delegate 2 - Day 1 + Gala dinner
Delegate 3 - Day 1 , 2, 3 - no gala dinner
So a sort of "view cart" option would be good.
Thanks
James

You can achieve what you want by entering the different days and dinner as separate 'events'. Your delegates could then book themselves onto each of the 'events' that they want to attend.
As you have suggested, a sort of 'cart' option is planned that will make it easier for people to book themselves onto multiple events at the same time, but I'm not sure if that will be ready in time for your conference. In the meantime, booking onto multiple events is easier than you may think as a delegate's details are pre-populated for their subsequent bookings.
Another option (which others have used) is to offer all the combinations as different ticket types with the price set accordingly. However, for you there are too many options for it to be a neat solution.
Would entering the conference as different 'events' be a viable solution for you if there was a cart option?

I'll do a quick test option to see how that would look.
Our conference is on usability and clarity of public documents- would
be disastrous if it was complicated to register!!
Thanks for all your help
