deleting a single event
I scheduled repeating classes on a 5 week cycle, but want to delete one occurance (ie christmas). Can I do this?

It's not currently possible to remove a single occurrence, but it's high up on the todo list. I'll update this thread to let you know when it's done.

How do I delete a forthcoming event? It's currently 'unpublished' but I would like to delete it entirely

There's an option to delete the event on the Options tab of the event itself on the schedule screen (public or admin). The option isn't on the edit event screen where perhaps it would be more obvious.
A word of warning however, if your event had multiple occurrences or repeats then all of those occurrences will be removed, bookings too. A warning is given if the event has bookings.

A new feature has just been added allowing a single occurrence of a repeating (or multiple occurrence) event to be taken offline. The option is on the admin tab on the schedule list screens.
