PayPal require to see on public site privacy policy /terms and conditions
Ok just signed up for Paypal pro but my account manager says they have to approve my public site i.e http://bookwhen.com/balanceconsulting and a key part of the site check is user access to an acceptable privacy agreement and product terms and conditions. The problem is I can't find a place on the scedule page where I can store and record this information so this is visible on the public page. This situation must have happened before so how has this problem been resolved ? if indeed you don't have a facility.
If right my suggested workround for this problem could be as follows:-
- You provide two pages with links featured in the course information page
- I send you our terms and conditions to be cut and pasted into the terms and conditions page
- I send you a privacy policy base on yours (back to back agreement) and this is pasted into the second page.
Other than this I can't think of an alternative.
Without it PayPal could fail my application.
If I am missing something I am going to put mine on the site as part of the course info.

This problem hasn't arisen before which now you mention it is surprising. Bookwhen as a service has been vetted (and passed) by PayPal on more than one occasion. I guess it's not been through a vetting from a client's perspective before or like you say this issue would have come up.
I guess that one of the possible reasons is that most people (although I can't be sure) use the PayPal standard account, or perhaps they already had a Payments Pro account already setup beforehand. Or maybe it has been vetted and passed as there's a link on the bottom of the page to the bookwhen homepage which has terms and privacy links.
So, to resolve the situation, I will include the links to the general bookwhen terms and privacy pages on the public pages and allow them to be overridden in the settings. I'll update this thread when it's done.

Thanks Jo. Your terms are not important and would be confusing as I am sure all users will need there own. The key is the privacy policy since the data flows through your cart gateway. Making your privacy link optional would be very useful and help keep PayPal happy. I will set-up links on the information page to my own terms and conditions. That should keep PayPal happy. Big thanks for this. Hopefully things will be plain sailing now.

I have included a link to the Privacy Policy on all public booking pages. Hopefully this will be enough to appease PayPal. I've decided to keep it simple and not allow customisations or an option to not show it for now. Let me know how it turns out. Thanks.
